It has a stunning view of the Victoria Reservoir, coconut groves and the surrounding hills. It is also one of the most challenging 18-holes in Sri Lanka.

Day3

Kandy – Digana

Back on the course for another 18 holes after breakfast.
In the afternoon head into the city of Kandy and visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic.
The present temple was constructed mainly under Kandyan kings from 1687 to 1707. The temple embellishments of wooden and ivory carvings and elaborate frescoes bear the strong marks of Kandyan artist-styles. The tooth relic is placed within seven golden caskets and the pilgrims are only permitted to view the casket a few feet away from the altar.
Then wander around the lake and the city streets getting a feel for this wonderful city.
For those interested in shopping for gems, antiques, clothes and leather use our shopping guide and explore the local markets and shops.
Return to hotel for another overnight stay.

Day4

Kandy - Nuwara Eliya

After a delicious breakfast at the hotel set off to Peradeniya to visit the Royal Botanical Gardens.
Its best known attraction – the Orchid House, includes some 300 varieties of orchids. Moreover, the spice gardens, the giant water lilies, papyrus reeds and the plethora of other exotic plants in the gardens definitely stirs the visitors’ interests.
Then arrive at the Peradeniya train station to take the most magical trip through Sri Lanka’s tea country with prime seats in the observation carriage. This is a fabulous way to see Sri Lanka’s hill villages, tea country and see the daily lives of the local people.
Arrive at Nanu Oya (Nuwara Eliya’s railway station). Your driver will take your luggage and pick you up at the other end.
Rug up as you are now in cooler climbs at 6,500ft in the heart of Sri Lanka’s tea country.
If you are up for it, how about a round of golf this afternoon at The Nuwara Eliya Golf Course? Described by UK’s Golf Today as a tight, challenging hilly course with scenic surroundings, tight fairways, dense, rough and waterways which comes into play on 6 holes.
Overnight at a hotel in Nuwara Eliya.

Day5

Nuwara Eliya

Back on the course for another 18 holes after breakfast.
In the afternoon visit Hakgala Gardens.
Located on a rock named Hakgala (jaw-like rock), the cool climate in the area has provided perfect settings for foreign botanical species to thrive, unlike in other parts of the country. Among the varied foreign species housed within Hakgala includes leafy conifers and cedars from Australia, Bermuda and Japan, thick cypresses from the Himalayas and a special variety of pine all the way from New Caledonia. Other delights that would enthral its visitors are the gorgeous English Oak, the fernery and the rose garden that feature various types and hues of roses, sure to send the visitors into a reverie.

In the evening go for boat ride at Gregory’s lake. This lake was named after its builder Governor Sir William Gregory. The breath-taking view of the Piduruthalagala Mountain (tallest mountain in Sri Lanka) can be seen from the lake.

Other activities that can be done around the lake are jet skiing, cycling and horse riding (payable directly).

Overnight at the hotel in Nuwara Eliya.
